Individual Retreats

Your Journey Begins With You

No two journeys are the same because no two lives are the same.

Every individual who comes to Plantas Sagradas arrives carrying a unique history, different challenges, and deeply personal intentions. Some seek freedom from long-standing patterns. Others are navigating grief, trauma, major life transitions, or simply feeling called toward a deeper understanding of themselves.

Because every story is different, we believe every retreat should be different.

Rather than asking you to fit into a predetermined schedule, we begin by getting to know you. Through comprehensive consultation, medical and psychological screening, thoughtful preparation, and collaborative planning, we design a retreat experience that reflects your unique goals, readiness, and needs.

Our role is not simply to facilitate ceremonies. It is to help create the conditions in which meaningful and lasting transformation can emerge.

What Makes an Individual Retreat Different?

An Individual Retreat offers a level of flexibility and personalization that simply isn't possible within a group setting.

Without the structure of a shared itinerary, every aspect of your experience can be thoughtfully adjusted to support your unique journey.

Your retreat may be ideal if you:

✦ Prefer privacy and confidentiality

✦ Desire individualized support throughout your stay

✦ Have complex medical or psychological considerations

✦ Are transitioning away from opioid dependence and require specialized planning

✦ Want greater flexibility in scheduling ceremonies and integration

✦ Value one-on-one therapeutic support

✦ Prefer a quieter environment for reflection and personal growth

Individual Retreats - A Retreat Designed Around You

No two retreat schedules are identical. Following your consultation and screening process, we work together to determine what combination of preparation, sacred medicines, complementary therapies, and integration practices best supports your intentions.

Every recommendation is individualized. Not every participant will work with every medicine. Sometimes the most meaningful recommendation is to do less, not more.

Your Experience

Although every retreat is unique, most Individual Retreats unfold through four interconnected stages.

✦ Preparation

Before arriving, we take time to understand your history, intentions, medical background, and psychological readiness. Preparation begins long before the first ceremony.

✦ Personalized Retreat

Your time at Plantas Sagradas is thoughtfully designed around your individual needs, allowing flexibility while maintaining structure, safety, and intention.

✦ Reflection

Throughout your retreat, there are opportunities for conversation, rest, nature immersion, breathwork, yoga, massage, and integration between ceremonies.

Healing is not only found during ceremony, but also in the quiet moments that surround it.

✦ Integration

The ceremony is never the end of the process.

Before returning home, we work together to develop an integration plan designed to help you carry the insights of your retreat into everyday life.

Who Are Individual Retreats For?

Individual Retreats may be appropriate for those who are:

✦ Transitioning away from opioid dependence

✦ Living with trauma or PTSD

✦ Processing grief or significant life changes

✦ Seeking personal growth and self-exploration

✦ Looking for greater clarity and purpose

✦ Experienced with entheogenic medicines and seeking individualized guidance

✦ New to sacred medicines and desiring one-on-one support

Every recommendation begins with conversation rather than assumption.

Planning Your Retreat

Choosing an individualized retreat naturally comes with questions. Below are answers to some of the topics participants most commonly ask as they begin exploring whether a personalized Plantas Sagradas experience is the right fit for their goals, history, and intentions.

How long are Individual Retreats?

Each retreat is customized according to the participant's goals and the medicines involved. Some experiences span several days, while others extend over one or two weeks.

Will my retreat include multiple medicines?

Possibly.

Every recommendation is individualized and based on your preparation, medical history, goals, and readiness. Some participants work with one medicine, while others benefit from a thoughtfully curated sequence.

Can I travel alone?

Absolutely.

Many participants attend Individual Retreats on their own. Our team provides guidance before your arrival and support throughout your stay to help ensure you feel informed, welcomed, and cared for.

Is this retreat confidential?

Yes.

We deeply value privacy and discretion. Individual Retreats are designed to provide a confidential environment where participants can fully engage in their journey with a sense of safety and trust.

Can my retreat include psychotherapy?

Yes.

As a licensed psychotherapist, Alan Romano integrates evidence-informed psychotherapy, preparation, and integration into retreat planning whenever appropriate, creating a bridge between clinical practice and sacred plant medicine.

Your Journey Already Began

The decision to begin exploring this work is often the first meaningful step toward change.

Whether you are seeking healing, clarity, recovery, personal growth, or simply a deeper understanding of yourself, you do not have to determine the next step alone.

Our role is to listen, understand your story, and help thoughtfully design an experience that aligns with your goals, readiness, and unique path forward.

Every Individual Retreat at Plantas Sagradas begins not with a ceremony, but with a conversation.
